Very sweet drawing. I can't see a problem with your drawing and anyway Digimon Adventure by far IMO is the prettiest, 'cos it was natural, simple and imperfect/flawed. So if anything the flaws add to it. The imperfection make it all the better. give it the character and put a personal stamp on it. Love their relationship, it's so sincere and caring! Great job!
You are welcome. Your old stuff is great, you should have more comments, I reckon you would have more comments, but expressing ones opinion in a concise reply can be hard so they choose not to.
Tai and Kari, when I think of those two, I think of when Kari tells the story of when she fell in the pig pen I think and Tai jumps in and plays in the mud to make the other children think she did it on purpose. Tai is always looking out for his sister, even at his own expense. When Tai tells the story of when Kari nearly died cause he was a kid and made a mistake. Eng Dub>Jap org! And you see how that has affected him and his actions and the faithful words that came out of Kari's mouth 'I am sorry I can't kick the ball very good, you probably won't want to play with me anymore.' Kari doesn't think of herself only others. Tai has this imaginary wrong to atone for so he is a very protective brother and Kari is extremely selfless. So they both put each other before themselves and all of us can learn from that. They have such a bond, which is an honor to watch! I am such a sap. Hehe! But Digimon has that affect on me.
Well, I do have more comments on my current account, but it doesn't really matter.
Actually, I grew up with the Finnish dub which was based on the original japanese version, so I don't remember that mud story but the story about Hikari nearly dying was so sad. Taichi even got slapped to the cheek, so painful... He couldn't forgive himself that he almost got his sister killed.
The English dub is very similar to Japanese one of that scene, except Tai's words in the English version are not as dramatic, which I think is quite out of character since the English one is full of very cheesy eccentric moments, the whole mud scene which I was referring to her was when Tai and Koromon were transported back to the real world and she said that to Koromon when they were alone, it was most likely something else but she probably did say something sweet about her brother. As for Tai's story, the slap was edited. To be honest I felt more sorrier for him in the English one than the Japanese one 'cos he is honest and heartfelt but I think that was due to the voice actor. If the voice actor can get into the moment of a scene, the Finnish voice actors I am sure did get it across.
But anyway I was just referring to that page and I thought that the picture warranted more comments, even if you have more comments on your current account, just saying!. ^_^
Oh, that scene. In the original version (and Finnish version too) she said that she used to wet her bed, but Taichi washed her bed sheet in the middle of the night and said to their parents that he was the bed wetter. Yeah, it differs a little bit. ^^
If you don't count the first 26 episodes, the Finnish dub is very good, it has a lot of veteran voice actors in it. And the episode when Taichi told his sad story made me cry. Actually, I think Digimon is one of the first animated shows that really made me cry as a kid. It's just awesome.
Aww that is so sweet of him, Tai/Taichi is the best big brother a sister could have. But there is a similarity between them yes, where he shows he really cares about his sister's feeling, he doesn't want to let her feel ashamed/embarrassed even if he has to shame/embarrass himself in the process.
I totally agree it was the only animated show that really brought a tear to my eye when I was a kid. No doubt Digimon is awesome! Fingers crossed they will do the character's justice in the new Digimon series in 2015.
